The preparation began early in the evening. PA - check; musically inclined friends - check; alcohol - check; smores stuff - check; firewood - sort of check (12 $2 duraflame logs will do). By about 9:00pm, our little SXSW blogger hostel backyard garden was ready for a night of friends and soft sounds.
The music that filled the air came from the far reaching honesty of Matthew Sage, the captivating future gospel of Eola, the sweet whispers of my sister Steffaloo, the kitchenware experimentation of Little Spoon, and the masterful swoon-inducing croons of Mutual Benefit. Luckily for us, our sweet little, now IRL, friend Tonje, from all-star blog, No Fear Of Pop, placed a field recorder in the grass to catch most of Mutual Benefit's set.
Set the stage in your mind with the aforementioned details, and let these sounds take you away ~~
